Hi Eric,
I'd like to subscribe and listen to a dutch science podcast RadioHoezo. This is a well known program from the dutch public broadcast agency.
Their subscription link is: http://www.teleac.nl/radio/xml/rss.jsp?page=134903 and includes mp3 files.
It does work fine with Google's 'Listen', but for some reason it doesn't work with DoggCatcher. When I click the download button in DoggCatcher it starts downloading, but is finishes in 2-3 seconds. That can't be normal. I see the icon 'Ready' but also "Size: Unknown/mp3". When I click to play, nothing happens.
My other subscriptions (Security Now and TWIT) do work. I have enough space on my sd card. Also tried removing and re-installing DoggCatcher.
I use version 1.1.1315 on HTC Hero.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Jasper
Can you please check the application log (in the dc menu) right after the problem occurs. You should be able to see an error message there.
Thanks.
My reply seems to be under my first post...
Thanks for your quick reply Eric.
The Application Log hasn't logged an error as far as I can see. I do get a java IO exception error 0x80000000 when I click 'play', but that error message disappears after a few seconds so it's hard to see exactly what the error is. When I click again on the play/pause button nothing happens (other podcast do work). I have to restart my phone and restart DoggCatcher to see that error message again.
I've uploaded the application log.txt to my website, hope this helps.

The links to the media in that feed are redirects that occur on the browser side, not server side redirects. That's the first time I've seen a feed do that. I'm not sure what Listen is doing to make it work.
