Video player feature parity with audio, and a video feature request

Thanks for the integrated player. It let me subscribe to some video podcasts finally. But I have noticed it is missing a few nice to haves.

I use the "unplug the headphones to pause the playback" feature pretty often. The video player doesn't do the same thing, it just switches to speaker on phone.

If I'm playing a video podcast, and hit back, it does the right thing and marks my location. However, if I push play on the main screen, it starts playing the last audio podcast I have paused. To reproduce, start a audio podcast, pause it and return, start a video, pause and return, then hit the play button on the main page. It will start playing the audio podcast instead of the video. You have to drill in and reselect the current video to continue.

And one last feature that would be really nice. Sometimes, I want the video version, and other times I don't. I could add both feeds, but that is wasteful, and I have to choose up front when I start playback. It would be an awesome feature to have a video podcast, and a checkbox or UI feature of some sort to disable the video. Basically, treat the video as a MP3. And when you hear something that you want to see on the screen, you can toggle it back, and the video would just start playing from that point. When done, toggle it back and it looks/feels like a MP3 podcast again. It would also save battery life I assume.

Thanks

Those are great ideas. As

Those are great ideas. As soon as I added the most recent work around video, I realized that DC needs some more consistently with how audio and video are handled. I'm not yet sure of the best way to do that, but I will try to make it easier to get back to the video that you were recently playing.

Here are the issues for the first and third ideas.
