thanks. I saw that post earlier. this looks like a different issue. I can't copy the error message directly, but it's something like "com. doggcatcher.apache.four. five host connection failed.
I've deleted both feeds and re-subscribed with no change. Here's the full error. Again, I can't copy and paste, so my apologies for any typos. It won't download anything. When I click on the podcast itself from the Feeds tab, then the hamburger next to the episode, one of the options in the popup is "Error Message". When I click on that, here's what it says:
Event: Download failure - Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend - Ron Reagan
Detail: com.doggcatcher.apache.fourdotfive. http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to chtbl.com:443 [chtbl.com/o.o.o.o] failed: failed to connect to localhost/127.0.0.1 (port 443) from /127.0.0.1 (port 46862) after 30000ms: isConnected failed: ECONNREFUSED (Connection refused).
The podcasts where I'm seeing this error are Conan O'Brien, Rob Lowe, and Freakonomics. All others (30ish) work properly. Thanks!
I'm unable to reproduce the issue you're experiencing with the three feeds, the latest episodes from all the three feeds "Ron Reagan", "Throw Me A Bone (w/ Jenny Slate)" and "We Get All Our Great Stuff from Europe - Including Witch Hunting" I'm able download and playback those media files without an issue.
Try switching your device from WiFi to mobile data to see if the problem can be reproduced, if so could be an issue with the publisher's servers in your area and if not, something on your e device is blocking those particular feeds example an anti virus or adblocking software

I had private dns set on my phone through adguard. I disabled it, and that fixed it. good call... thanks!
Stitcher must embed advertising within the episode URL's and when blocked, causes download issues. That's something we have no control over.
