Android app has stopped moving on to the next podcast when the previous one finishes

User of the app since 2014. It has always finished a podcast and moved on to the next one...until the last week or so when it gets to the end of a podcast and the curr podcast icon goes blank/grey, there's no file details being shown, and I have to manually back out to the folder list, select a podcast folder, then an item.
DETAILS:
DoggCatcher Version: 1.2.4154 (installed 25 Oct 2018)
Device: Huawei Mate 20 Pro
Android Build: 10.1.0.273
Carrier: Optus, Australia
SUMMARY: get to the end of a podcast, nothing happens for next steps
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Start DC
2. Wait for current podcast to finish
WHAT HAPPENS: Curr Podcast goes grey
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: Should automatically move to the next one in the sequence, either in the same folder or the next folder in sequence
FREQUENCY: 100%
SEVERITY: Mildly irritating especially when I'm driving.
I'm wondering if it might be a file/metadata related issue, since there have been such things in the past and issue is much more recent than the last update.

Me too!

Like Davo, I have been a LONG time user of DC and starting maybe a week ago (did you guys just push out an update? I am using the same version that Davo is), the app will not auto play to the next podcast when playing from the main "FEEDS" tab. I have confirmed that "Auto Play" is enabled in the Audio Player settings. And, that the default Audio player is set to the internal one.

Ha! I just found a work around. If I selected the "AUDIO" tab and select "All - Sorted by feed/data" as the virtual playlist, it will go from one podcast to the next.

Let me know if you want me to send the logs from the player in order to diagnose this. It would be nice if it would work from the FEEDS tab.

Thanks!

Thanks, that fixed it

Hi WayneC.,

So, it looks like what I thought was a work around, was actually the fix. I have NO idea how that playlist got changed, but it really doesn't matter. Thanks for confirming what the fix was.

Regards,

Keith
