Auto Play stopped working

Dear Doggcatcher: About a week ago, or maybe two, the Auto Play function stopped working all by itself. The Auto Play check box is checked in the audio settings, as always. But when one podcast episode ends, the next one does not start playing anymore. Do you know what happened and how to fix it? (DC v.1.2.4154, Samsung Galaxy S10+ [unlocked international model] with Android 10)
