I want DC to work like Youtube. I want to be able to easily search for and listen to a single episode without subscribing to the podcast. I want to be able to search for a single topic or person and see all the podcast episodes that match (like podchaser.com). For instance searching for "Sam Harris" would return his podcast, plus the 100+ episodes of random podcasts that he's appeared in. Then i could add these single episodes to my queue without subscribing to the podcasts.
This would be a great feature. I use a site called Listen Notes to do something similar (search podcasts and add single episodes to a custom RSS feed), but a native capability would be great.
