Playing over Sonos network

Hello, I'm a new convert from iOS/Downcast, which I was previously very happy with. I've tried a few different Android podcast apps and have settled on DoggCatcher. Loving the app so far, but there's one major everyday thing (for me) that I can't figure out and don't see in any of the FAQ's or other topics:

On a daily basis, I used my old podcast app to select different devices to play on. I have a Sonos network in my house I access via wifi, and I would like to select to have DoggCatcher play my podcasts on one or multiples. This is also how I used to connect to bluetooth devices as well.

Am I just missing a button somewhere?

Currently the Sonos network

Currently the Sonos network doesn't support chromecast like it does with AirPlay 2 on iOS devices, the next option would be use Bluetooth through your device settings

or if you can find some Chromecast audio devices and If your Sonos speakers has an aux input then you could plug in a Chromecast audio.
To enable the Chromecast feature (DC Navigation Menu>Settings>Miscellaneous> Enable Chromecast

More thoughts

Thanks for the clarification. I've learned that Spotify can do what I want but DoggCatcher can't because Spotify has a feature called Spotify Connect, which is something Sonos helped develop, I believe. t doesn't use Chromecast as its base.

I've also learned though, that the Sonos app has a long list of apps it can integrate with (Pocket Casts is one, i.e.). So instead, I'll move to the Feature Requests section and ask about getting DoggCatcher and Sonos apps to play together.

Apologies...Seems I was wrong

Apologies...Seems I was wrong about Sonos not supporting the Chromcast feature

See entry posted RE: "How do I play music I’ve purchased through the Google Play Store?"
You can also stream purchased and uploaded music directly to Sonos from the Google Play Music app. Downloading the music to the device is not necessary for this feature. Simply touch the Cast icon in the Google Play Music app and choose your Sonos speaker or group.

Enable the Chromecast feature (DC Navigation Menu>Settings>Miscellaneous> Enable Chromecast

Press the Cast icon in the DoggCatcher app and choose your Sonos speaker or group.

Almost there!

OK, I'm so close! Now, I have enabled Chromecast in DC Settings, added my Sonos speakers to my Google Home app (which I downloaded hoping it would help), but I cannot locate the Chromecast button.

I see this topic from 2014: http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/5931

and seem to have the same issue now. Will the Chromecast button only appear if it senses something to Cast to, or should I always see it if I have the feature enabled?

Check all your devices are on

Check all your devices are on the same WiFi network

Reboot your Sonos devices

Exit & restart the app (DC Navigation Menu>More>Exit) then press the Chromecast icon/button and select your Sonos speaker or network of speakers
