Feed authentication

I subscribe to a podcast that returns an RSS feed for un-authenticated users (free), and at the same URL returns a feed for authenticated users (premium). When supplying my user/pass for the feed in DoggCatcher, I only ever receive the free un-authenticated feed listing. I'm wondering if the app is waiting to receive a response requiring authentication before sending the user/pass, or if the feed itself just blindly responds with 200 even though authentication has failed. The feed diagnostics don't really show anything about authentication, so I'm not able to tell from the app UI. I've also attempted to use "Report Problem" but it keeps closing/crashing the app.

The same URL for the feed is used for the free & premium version...correct? Once you enter your P/W credentials, you receive a authentication has failed error notification?

I would contact the publisher of the feed and verify your P/W credentials are correct or if there is an issue with the feed.

I don't receive an authentication failed error, DoggCatcher simply retrieves the feed that doesn't require authentication. The URL is the same for free and premium, correct. I can verify my credentials in a browser without issue.

OK then........the URL should

OK then........the URL should convert from free to premium once you've entered your P/W in the credentials field (From the "Feeds" tab> Press the particular free/premium feed> Press on the settings icon (3rd from the right) top of the screen> scroll to "Advanced" and enter your P/W> Press OK

If nothing happens when you enter your P/W in the credentials field of the feed, you should still contact the publisher and let them know the problem you're experiencing.
