Files won't tranfer (drag & Drop) after creating virtual feed - NO SD CARD

So I have a bunch of training audios from my company as MP3 files. I wanted to create a virtual feed to play them. My phone is a Google Pixel 2 XL and DOES NOT have an SD card. I chose "Let Doggcatcher create a directory" - it created a folder "49" I connected phone to my laptop and navigated to folder with my audio files and tried to drag and drop them into folder 49 in DC in the phone internal memory. Will not let them transfer. I'm sure I am missing a step or 3... Please advise - how do I make this happen when Phone has no SD card to use?

Cheers.

Try moving the media files to

Try moving the media files to a folder/directory created by using the phones file manager and then use the file manager to move the app's (DC) "49" folder
if you still can't move the files a folder/directory created by the device file manager, then it's an issue with the phone or with those particular media files ..they could be corrupted.
