I'm unable to skip using the steering wheel controls (previous, next). Is there a setting I can check? Using Pixel 2 with a Chevy Bolt EV.
Also I've noticed that video podcasts don't show up at all when using Android Auto. Obviously I just want the audio, but is that normal (safety feature)?
Thank you!
Dan
Android Auto buttons (using the steering wheel controls) is set to rewind & fast forward.....usually you could change this in the app's settings, unfortunately there is a bug issue on the developer's to do list "0001996: Lock screen next button does not honor customization of button action (ff instead of next)" http://mantis.doggcatcher.com/view.php?id=1996 - Once the bug issue is resolved you can change the "Fast Forward" to "Next" (DC Navigation Menu>Settings>Headset/Lockscreen(bluetooth/wired) Scroll down to & press Headset button-fast forward
Pressing the next button flags the episode done and removes it from the current active playlist. (FYI) when an episode is flagged as done and removed from the playlist it is not deleted until the next scheduled feed update, there isn't an option for a "Previous" button setting within the app for this reason.
Android Auto video isn't an option for safety reasons, you can play video as audio from within the app...
Press or swipe to the "Video" tab >
Press the context menu icon (Hamburger Icon Right of Episode Title) of the particular video media file>
Select "Play video as audio">
The selected video will playback as audio in Android Auto.
Thanks for the info!
You're welcome
