Installing (paid for) dogcatcher on phone that does not have google services installed?

I have been running doggcatcher for quite awhile and there really is no substitute however I have become frusterated with all the google cruft and flashed my phone but without google services. I have paid for dogcatcher but it is not clear to me how to install a paid version on a phone that does not have google services? Can I just copy the paid apk then sideload it onto my clean phone?
Thanks!
