Long press on wired headset does not fast forward, Galaxy s7 edge

New phone, Galaxy s7 edge. Coming from a stock andriod phone. On my old phone I was able to long press on the volume button of my wired headphones to fast forward/rewind a podcast. On new phone, podcast does not fast forward/rewind, instead volume is increased/decreased. Doggcatcher settings are correctly enable to allow this functionality. I believe this is a Touchwiz issue. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling Doggcatcher. Currently using version 4147.

Could you try a different

Could you try a different headset to see if the problem can be reproduced...a similar issue was resolved with Bluetooth devices (see "Just published a beta release" response http://www.doggcatcher.com/comment/16465#comment-16465 to "Bluetooth controls not working on Galaxy S7" post http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/6536

Tried new Headphones and phone buttons

I tried a different set of heaphones, same results. I also tried using the phones volume buttons to fast forward/rewind, but those did not work either.

Solution

The only solution I found was to download an app from the Play Store called "Headset Button Controller". Using this app, I was able to set up a fast forward action when I double click on the play/pause headphone button. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
