Downloads in progress notification replaces play/pause notification

Like others I'm battling the pokemongo audio focus issue (when switching to pokemongo, it steals audio focus, stopping DC from playing).

Normally, I'd just pull the notification shade down and hit play. No problem!

However, I've noticed an issue when doggcatcher has episodes in the download queue. What happens is that DC no longer shows the play/pause notification. Instead, it displays the "episodes in the download queue" notification. So I cannot resume my podcast until doggcatcher finishes downloading. Switching back to doggcatcher and hitting the play button there works as expected. However, this isn't a satisfactory solution since playback stops again immediately when I switch back to pokemongo.

I see in the settings an option to enable a notification when audio focus is lost. That notification simply takes me into a logging screen for audio focus events. It would be great if I could resume playback with a button on that notification. Note that I have "notification - keep after pause" enabled.

Possible solutions:

* Preference for DC to ignore audio focus (looks like plenty of others are asking for this too).
* change DC's logic so that when it wants to display the play/pause notification and the downloads in progress notification, the play/pause notification wins.
* change DC's logic so that the downloads in progress notification is displayed in addition to any other DC notifications, rather than instead of them.
* Add a play button to the "lost audio focus" notification.

Thanks

I have the same issue,

I have the same issue, however I do not play Pokemon Go. I don't believe this is a memory issue. I have a stock HTC 10 with Nougat, and after a reboot, with only DoggCatcher running, if I pause via the notification, the notification switches to the episodes waiting in queue notification. When I click play in the app, the notification switches to the playback control notification. It seems as if only one notification is shown at a time. It never used to be this way, with the episodes waiting notification always present until I connect to Wi-Fi. This issue should be fixed. I've been a DC user since my Moto Cliq in 2010/2011, and I'd rather not have to switch apps.

I've been using an iPhone for 3 months and just came back to my HTC. This bug is still present. Any word on when it will be fixed?
