Permission

Check if permission was authorized by you so the app can access the external SD card storage directory

Device Settings>Apps>DoggCatcher>Permissions
Enable Storage
Permission to save media files to the SD card Android Data limited directory

Permissions authorized

Permissions authorized. If they hadn't, I wouldn't have not been able to get some podcasts to download.

The problem maybe the SD card

The problem maybe the SD card, check if other apps have the same read/write issue and if so try another card

Please read and review the

Please read and review the very detailed bug reported that was prepared in the format you desired before just throwing out ideas that couldn't possibly be tied to the solution. I have done the investigation, documented when it happens and when it dosen't, as well as provided files to recreate the problem.

As a side note, this past month I was able to recreate the problem on an alternative device.

There are two places you can

There are two places you can configure the storage directory, in the DC settings which changes the behavior for all feeds. You can also configure the storage directory for individual feeds (in the feed options). Is it possible that you have configured the storage directory for some of the feeds configured to a directory that doesn't exist?

write permission revoked since android 6

The problem I face can be similar to the one descried above. Since update to android 6 (marshmallow), doggcatcher is no more able to write on the external sd.

I have check the permission granted to doggcatcher.

From what I read on the net, google changed its API concerning that subject. It seems old fashion sd access is now ineficient (but i am no android dev).

The SD card or DC storage

The SD card or DC storage directory could be corrupted (See posted SD card article http://www.doggcatcher.com/comment/15686#comment-15686 ) this could be the reason for the permissions issue you're experiencing

I am prety confidant that,

I am prety confidant that, nor the SD card nor DC storage directory are corrupted. My android is brand new (Samsung Stock AND then Cyanogenmod13).
I also can explore/cretate/delete on the SD as root from ES explorer.
Es FileExplorer has permission to write on external sd card. But other Apps not.
Developpers say that there is no entry for WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE anymore on Marshmallow.
I would be gratefull if you can provide a solution for marshmallow (not the sdfix for kitkat/lolipop that does not work).

OK, from post http://www

OK, from post http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/6493
I found my missunderstanding. I was confused because I am not allowed to choose the directory anymore.
I MUST select one proposed at a specific location (tagged limited).
I'll do with that.

Thanks
