Doggcatcher and Join push notifications

I'm using Join by Joaoapps, every time I have a podcast playing I keep getting repeated notifications about a podcast playing. The notifications are not sporadic, they are constantly popping up repeatedly with no end. I brought this to the attention to Joaoapps, and so I have brought it to you attention as well. I don't have this problem with any other media player. I also believe this to be your concern rather than Joaoapps

DC can't control how other Apps interact with it, check the Joaoapps app settings to limit the notifications regarding DC.

What DC can control

I'm not saying that you should change how Join interacts with your app, but how DC creates its notifications in general. DC creates the notification with the high refresh rate.

Audio apps like DC are required to display a notification whenever audio is playing.

I don't care that it makes a notification I'm saying that it keeps refreshing the notification, as in, it makes a new one continuously. I don't care that it has a notification, the problem lies in the continuous refreshing

That sounds like a problem

That sounds like a problem with the android rom on the device, when updates are supplied to notifications, only the things that change should be noticeable to you. The refreshing should just be updating the existing notification without any visible changes.

What is it that you are seeing when you see the notification refreshing.

I don't see it refreshing in the notification drawer. I see it refreshing with Join because when it pushes its DC's notification to my computer, I see a new notification come up with an immeasurable time difference between notification, almost making it a permanent addition to my desktop.

Ahh, I get it.

Ahh, I get it.

I don't think there's anything we can do about that. There are time when we need to refresh the notification, like showing progress during downloads, which also probably behaves the same with join. Also, I'm going to be adding playback progress to the notification at some point, which will do the same thing. I think the join would need to be modified not to repeat the same notification if it hasn't changed.
