I have number of podcasts that DoggCatcher is subscribed for.
Between them are large ones like This Week in Tech, Security Now, etc.
Some of the feeds do not download episodes automatically. Between then is TWiT, for example.
Other feeds are updated and downloaded automatically as expected.
Tried setting both: global app setting for number of auto downloaded episodes, as well as per feed seeing. Nothing seems to help.
Is there any log that will help discover why are the episodes not downloaded?
Version: 1.2.5249
Device: Nexus 6p
Android version: 6.0.1
You're using the beta version of the app, you can check the "Event log" after a feed update (DC Menu>More>Event Log) and send yourself a log right after a feed update (DC Menu>More>Report Problem) change the email address from support to your email address.
No way of doing this on PlayStore version?
Oh. I forgot that I am running beta. Mounted it a long time ago and switched between iPhone and Android a few times since then.
Yes, the same function applies for both versions of the app (production & beta), except currently on the production version.....to access the "Event log" it's (DC Menu>Event Log) or to send a log (DC Menu>Report Problem) - On the beta version the less frequently used entries on the navigation drawer is hidden or simplified.

Check if the “Auto-Delete Policy” setting is set to "Done" if set to “None”.... change back to “Done Episodes’
“None” setting disables the deletion of episodes when completed and new media files will not be automatically downloaded
(See User Guide Post: Configuring media file auto delete - http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/1751)
Update your feeds, then press on the ... for a feed, then press on last update status. That will describe what was downloaded and why anything wasn't downloaded.
