Cast to Sonos (halfway there!)

I just tried out the feature to cast Audio from DoggCatcher to my Chromecast. It worked great as expected.

But as I tried the feature out I was surprised to find all my Sonos devices among the cast devices (listed as SONOS instead of ChromeCast)... So I tried to cast a podcast to one of them as well. I was able to connect to the device, but when I started playing audio the sound came from my Android device. I was able to disconnect from the Sonos device.

So somehow while using casting it is possible to "connect" to Sonos devices, but not play audio.

I wish that you examine the possibility to make it possible to cast podcast audio to Sonos. (And if that is not possible I think that Sonos devices should be excluded from the devices list).

Sonos without Chromecast?

Curious to know if there are plans to cast to a Sonos speaker *without* a Chromecast. I do have a Chromecast attached to my TV, but I would enjoy streaming from DoggCatcher to the Sonos speaker in my bedroom, too.
Thanks!

Sonos

Sonos would have to support DC, currently they only support various music services like Spotify, Google Play Music & Amazon Music. http://www.sonos.com/music - a possible workaround would be to enable the 'Share Media' feature (In the DC Menu>Settings>Miscellaneous) DC media files should playback on the Sonos media player through the 'Play music' or 'Amazon Music' app.

Looks like it has been pushed out to 1.2.four.after.next slated for Oct 2015. Bummer.

Looks like it's been dropped...

Sadly this now seems to have been dropped. I was really looking forward to podcasts on my SONOS speakers - any idea why it's been dropped? I'd post a link to the change request but the forum won't let me (thinks it's spam).
