BUG: DoggCacher icon disappears from homescreen after update on Nexus 5.

Had a search of the forums but could not find any related posts.

Everytime an update to DoggCatcher is installed on my Nexus 5 (Kit Kat) the DoggCatcher icon disappear from the homescreen. And I have to put it back. It is getting annoying.

Any ideas for a fix?

This seems to be a problem

This seems to be a problem with some Motorola & Nexus devices since the update to Android 4.4
Android manages home screen icons and it's not something DC controls, so it could be a bug in Android or there was a problem with the initial install of DC. Try an uninstall/re-install of the app, to see if that resolves the problem, but first backup DC (In the DC Menu>Settings>Backup/Restore/Export)

I see this problem also on

I see this problem also on the Moto X running 4.4. Every time the app updates, the icon disappears from my Audio folder. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Happened again this morning when Google Play downloaded the new update.

Don't know what else to do except continue to re-add the app in the folder everytime it updates.....

One extra thought: I see this

One extra thought: I see this happen frequently when icons are changed/modified. If an app changes its icon in an update, then the shortcut on the desktop or folder is removed. Could the icon for DC be being modified or updated? Maybe a date/time change each time it is updated?

This has been going on for a

This has been going on for a while and it a bug in some android rom. We haven't changed the app icon or the app manifest in a quite a while, yet this still happens for some. We still haven't narrowed down exactly what's causing this.

Check bug 63984

http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=63984

Does seem to be a bug that affects other programs as well. Suggest up-voting the bug to get it addressed maybe?
