DETAILS:
DoggCatcher Version: 1.2.4041
Device: Google Samsung Note 10.1 2014
Android Build: Android 4.3
SUMMARY: MP4 plays only audio in DoggCatcher, "Play in external player" doesn't show video options
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Problematic feed is at http://jasonshelton.podbean.com/feed
2. Play an episode - only audio plays in DoggCatcher's native player
3. Select "Play in external player," the only options are Google Play Music and Sound Player
4. Go out to DoggCatcher/EpisodeEnclosures/39 (the folder for the REL Show here), click on the file, plays in the normal assortment of video players (MX Player, in this case) just fine.
WHAT HAPPENS: No option to play an MP4 in a video player. I'm okay with it being an external player, particularly since the band occasionally posts .mov files that have to be played in MX Player, but I don't get the option to pick a video player.
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN: I should have the option to pick video players, since MP4 is commonly a video format, although the audio players are also valid since MP4 can be pure audio as well, I suppose.

The enclosure for the media file in the feed lists it as a audio file, you could contact the publisher and let them know about the problem and in the meantime install VPlayer Video Player app to playback as video with the play in external player option
