Migrating Doggcatcher feeds and settings to a new phone

I just purchased a new phone and cannot get my feeds and settings from my old phone working it. I located the Doggcatcher folder on my old phone and moved it to my new phone. I found the location on my new phone by navigating to Settings, Backup and noting where it is located. I removed the new Doggcatcher folder on my new phone and I copied the Doggcatcher folder from my old phone to this location. But when I open Doggcatcher, none of my feeds are present. I only see the feeds that are present when the app is first installed.

First backup DC on your old

First backup DC on your old device (In the DC Menu,Settings,Backup,Restore,Export) then on the new device, replace the export folder with the folder from the original device (Example /mnt/sdcard/DoggCatcher/Export or /mnt/storage/sdcard0/DoggCatcher/Export). Then open DC (If your new device is like the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4, you have to point to the external SD card in the DC Menu,Settings,Miscellaneous, "Example S3 mnt/exSdCard) then restore your feeds database and configuration.

Another option is to try the Cloud Sync beta , see FAQ article for information on how to join beta group ( http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/4189)
See the FAQ post on Cloud Sync http://www.doggcatcher.com/CloudSync

Set up Cloud Sync beta on your old device first to sync feeds database and configuration to the cloud, then follow the instructions to sync feeds database and configuration to the new device.

You still have to point DC the external SD card first for devices like the Samsung Galaxy S3/S4

Thank you, Wayne. The cloud

Thank you, Wayne. The cloud sync worked great! I am not sure what happened with the manual transfer. I hard reset my old device a few months ago and was able to restore everything by backing up the Doggcatcher folder. So I thought I could do that to move to my new device. I guess that does not work when you change devices.

You're welcome, moving the

You're welcome, moving the export folder to the new device should have worked. So not sure why either.
