Crashing several times a day, how to fix??

in the last few days, i have noticed that my droid freezes up while using DC. it seems to freeze in lock mode or if the screen is on, the controls don't work. also downloads are not downloading completely. Very disappointing since this is so far the best podcast app I have seen so far.

Regarding the crashing, I would be surprised if this was cause by DC or any app for that matter. Android has facilities to kill any process that is misbehaving. When you see those application not responding dialogs, you are given the option to kill the process. When systems hang it's typically caused by a device drivers, which could be active when you are using DC to play audio or anything network related. Anyone else on the droid experiencing this type of thing?

Regarding the download failures, if you send me the log file right after that occurs, I can check what's happening. You can send it to support @ snoggdoggler.com.

Thanks for the feedback.

log files

Hi,
I am not sure how to send these files. Previously I was given the option to force close the app, now it just freezes up and I have to take out the battery to get the phone to reboot. Do you think it's a phone prob or app prob. It appears to only happen when I am using DC (of course it is probably the app I use the most!) Would reloading it help?

The log file won't be able to help us with the hanging problem. When the device boots, the log is cleared. But it might with the download failures. To send it, go into the DC menu and press "debug log".

You could try re-installing the app, but make sure to do a backup in the dc menu before you uninstall. Then after you reinstall, do a restore.
