Audio boost

Any word on adding a preamp or audio boost feature to DC?

I searched for "audio boost" and found several (very old) posts. It was suggested in a post from 2011 to use Presto, or to wait until Presto adds this functionality. Problem is, that's another $5, and Presto currently does not offer audio boost functionality. I currently have to use Winamp with a +6 boost to hear some of my feeds. It's not a great workaround, as I have to memorize what enclosure my feeds are in, then point Winamp to that folder, then create a playlist in Winamp. I'd much rather use DC for this. DC has a much better interface for handling custom playlists. Winamp's playlists seem to disappear, whereas DC's playlists are persistent. I'd just like to use one app for podcasting.

I am running Cyanogen 10.1 which has DSP Manager; however DSP Manager doesn't appear to have any effect within DC on my device.

That is on Eric's to do list

That is on Eric's to do list but he's currently working on cloud sync option. Most issues is based on user demand....see roadmap for future updates of DC

Any update on the compatibility with DSP manager or a built-in audio boost? I'd love to be able to use the built-in player for Doggcatcher instead of an external player.

From the "user demand"

From the "user demand" comment I'd just like to add my vote to this option. There are a few podcasts I listen to that are great, but record at a super-low volume. I've just been turning my speakers on my car way up... but then if I get a notification or if my FM transmitter cuts out for some reason I get blasted by my speakers.
