One feed (young turks) displays incorrect time, resumes improperly ('losing its place')

Hi all --

The young turks feed at http://tytnetworkpodcast.com/rss has some playback problems, which I assume are the fault of the publisher. The episodes typically display a length of say, 10 mins., when in fact they are about 30 minutes long. I think this is a symptom of something that causes other problems; when I pause and then resume, the player does not resume at the correct point. Further, when playback exceeds the display length (say, at the 25th minute of an episode thought to be 10 minutes long), and is then paused, the player treats the episode as 'done' and does not resume at all.

Is there anything that can be done on the user/app side to deal with this kind of feed?

Thanks in advance for any ideas you might hvae.

Not really, we have two

Not really, we have two things to rely on to determine the times, the android media player (which calculates times from the media file) and the duration provided by the publisher (which is displayed on the episode).

This is usually caused by audio encoding parameters that are not compatible with the version of android that you're using. In the past feed publishers have worked to resolve these types of things. You might want to get in touch with them and see what they can do.
