Probably missing something despite perusing the FAQ's
Doggcatcher stops when another app requests to use the phone. How do I stop this? It was stopping on me every few minutes today. When I asked it to show what app required its attention the only one it showed me was Doggcatcher itself.I Don't know if it is of any interest but I run it on a Samsung Galaxy 3.
DC is supposed to pause when a call is received or placed & resume playback once the call is completed, not sure how that feature can be stopped...because that's how Android handles audio routing.
Sorry didn't make myself very clear.
The call thing it handles absolutely fine and the same with emails, pauses and then continues.
What happens is that it keeps on stopping totally, telling me another app is trying to make contact. The other app that seems to be doing this is DC itself, this can happen every 2 or 3 minutes making listening more than a bit fragmented, hope that makes sense.
Not sure how that can happen, what notification di get saying DC is asking for audio focus
"another app has requested an audience hold to find out."
Press and hold it returns to DC.
Next time it happens I will post the exact phrase.
You mean the audio focus notification with a link to this URL http://www.doggcatcher.com/AudioFocus
That is brilliant, thank you. I could only see as far as audi.. on my screen so assumed it meant audience.
Thank you again, I now have something to work with, guessing Winamp may be the problem.
You're welcome. If Winamp is a recent install & the problem didn't happen before, then that's it. Try uninstalling Winamp to see if that's the problem. The current logs from JB 4.1.x/4.2.x won't tell you what app is taking audio focus, just says DC has lost focus.
Ok will do, thank you again :-)
