DC heavily uses the New/Done state to know what to download and delete. I would recommend trying to set those states as you use the app, and I think things will then fall into place for you. In nearly all cases they are set for you as you consume the content (play/view).
In terms of the download order, it downloads the oldest item flagged as 'new', which makes sense for any content that you would like to consume in order of time. The idea being that once you are done with that one, it will be marked as complete, and the next one (in order of time) gets downloaded.
When you create a new feed, the items should all be marked as done except for the most recent.
This should be a preference. Contrary to this I *do* prefer the older podcasts being downloaded first, as I want to hear things in chronological order. new is good, but it if I haven't heard the old yet! But I realize this doesn't apply to everyone. Traditionally podcasts clients download oldest first. As long as playback order is configurable (I think there could be some improvements there), then that's all I need.
No, it's supposed to download latest ones, depending on what limit (if any) you set.
Does it do that for all of your podcasts or just some specific one?
It does it with all the feeds that do auto download. So that's another problem, all the feeds dont auto download...
