Comm Err when updating feeds

Hello,

Since a few weeks, I'm no longer able to update any feeds in doggcatcher. All feeds gives the error "Comm Err: Response Code: 403 from...".

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling and also deleted the doggcatcher directory on the SD-card, but without any luck.

Also verified that I can access the feeds through the phone's browser (tried with http://www.snoggdoggler.com/?q=rss.xml) and it works fine, so it should not be a connection issue.

Any clues?

Thanks

Karolis

Well, I'm not a developer, but if you could collect a log and send it to Eric, it would be great.

It's accessible via MENU -> More -> Save Log

Good plan

Sorry for the delay, I'm out of town.

Thanks Karolis, that's the right suggestion. The log will probably give us some useful clues. You can send to it support at snoggdoggler.com

I got your log

We are clearly getting 403 responses from the 'server' and I quote the server because I can't see how many different servers would all provide the same response code...there must be a proxy server in the middle.

A couple versions ago, I did change the user-agent that DC sends to the server. It may be related to this. I'll try to get the revision number where that change first made it to the market. I'm out of town, so it might take a bit.

If that turns out to be the case, I can get you an older version that will at least work until I can put something in DC to work-around this.

What carrier are you on?

User agent

The user agent was changed in 852. I would be happy to give you access to the forum where you can download the older version if you like. If the older version does not have the problem, I can look into solving it in a future release so we can get you current.
