A hopefully easy-to-implement-but-lots-of-payoff feature would be to have a "mark previous new" (and other permutations; prev/next and new/done).
I always listen in order. The first thing I have to do when subscribing to a podcast that I have a backlog on, is to either mark *all* new and then go and mark individual ones done; or mark *all* done and mark individual ones new.
This works if subscribing to a podcast for the very first time, but quickly gets annoying when subscribing to a podcast where you're mid-way through.
Thanks!
I'm going to be adding the ability to flag items as new/done on the episodes notes description screen, which you can scroll through. This should make it easy to do what you're looking to do.
Thanks for the feedback.
Cool. You may want to look at how Google Reader does it though. Long-press, and "mark previous as read" in the pop-up menu.
I have several podcasts that i subscript to that I check episode content before downloading. This can be done from the episode listing screen using the episode title, but when you want a bit more info and go to the description screen you can no longer easily kick off a download.
There's plenty or real estate available there to step through episodes with an added download button. This would reduce the longpress/description/review/back/download sequence to a simple step/?download, step/?download sequence.
I'd love this feature. The current method is cumbersome.
Totally agree, that screen is the next thing to go to the UI designer after they wrap up the redesign of the playing tab that they are working on now.
Not too much longer.
