I love the interface of the doggcatcher reader, but I would like to see a better option for emailing articles to other sites/people. I have used other feed readers such as Beyond pod in the past. I have noticed that they allow you to click the email this or email button at the bottom, which opens and places the link in the phones gmail app instead of opening the browser and making you populate the fields from their website. It really helps cut down on the time since you don't have to wait for the browser to load the page and send the email.
That's a great suggestion. I added an issue to the issue tracker, I should be able to add that without too much delay.

Thanks for the feedback.
Even better, a "share this" link that uses the Sharing intent (or whatever it's called when you select Share in the browser)
I have never even noticed 'share' until today when I emailed a photo for the first time. Strange coincidence.
It's really cool, since it's hooked up to an intent you can share things using different apps. For example in the browser menu I select More -> Share page and I can use Twidroid, Beelicious, GMail, SMS, PingDroid or TinyURL. Apps get automagically registered if you can share links on them.
Taking it one step further. I wish I could share a whole RSS feed, a link to the media download or even the physicaly downloaded audio file that is on my phone.
Two times in the last week I've wanted to share a particular podcast episode with someone. Not sending the file, but sending them whatever URL it's pulling from. Has this been researched any since the issue was created?
Thanks!
I did look into it a couple times but didn't figure out how to do it. It's scheduled for one of the next few releases, so it shouldn't be too much longer.
Hi,
I tried the following on a couple of feed items:
Long touch (pop-up menu) >> Share >> Email
It takes me to my Shaw email account. I type in the address and send, but the message will not send.
Error msg reads:
"Authentication error sending".
Why is this not working?
thanks
That's something related to the configuration of your email client. At that point, DoggCatcher has handed of the item to the email client. It sounds like you need to enter some credentials there to enable sending mail.
quite right -- problem resolved. thanks Eric.
