I download several different podcasts from BBC Radio, on a regular basis. However, for all these, I only seem to be able to see the most recent 5 episodes on my feed list. I have set the global option for number of episodes kept to 150, and each feed has default to global. Is there another setting I need to change so that I don't keep losing the oldest episodes before I have listened to them?
What is the name of the BBC podcast you're having the problem with? You can also click on the feed URL in a browser & see how many episodes are listed that can be downloaded.
Wayne, I am downloading from Radio 1 & 2, including Scot Mills, Chris Moyles, and Chris Evans. There is no problem with the actual downloads, my problem is on my Android tablet, where I am only able to see 5 episodes. The next "new" episode I download causes the oldest to disappear from my list.
You can enable the 'retain expired' feed option (by pressing the context button (Triangle right of the feed) select feed options, scroll down to & enable retain expired, then press OK) the episodes that you download in the future will not be deleted, but will need to manually be deleted once you're done listening to the podcast.
Thanks WayneC, I will try that. I thought I had covered this by setting "auto delete" to "none". I will have to wait until tomorrow to test it, as I have completed update for today!
You're welcome
WayneC - yes, episodes now being kept! Thanks again.
