Not sure if intended

If it was set up to do this, there should be an option to keep it there. Would be nice to be able to pause and start again from the notification bar.

was about to suggest the same thing

It would be great if the lock screen had a similar option. Currently you can pause and resume from the lock screen only as long as you stay on the lock screen... if you unlock after pausing the lock screen widget doesn't appear again if locked when paused, or if the screen goes into standby when still on the lock screen

Another +1

I tried out Pocketcasts for a couple weeks, but ended up coming back to Doggcatcher. The one feature I did like was the persistent controls in the notification panel, with option to swipe away when your are done with it.

Well thanks for coming back.

Well thanks for coming back. I do have this on the todo list, shouldn't be too long off.

Great request! I would

Great request!

I would imagine this would also help resuming in cases where I pause the audio to concentrate on doing something urgent on the phone. In those cases, the other activites on the phone usually end up closing DC from the background, so it has to load up again to resume play. It would be much faster to just resume play from the notifications.

Another enthusiastic vote in favor.

I logged on specifically to file a request for this feature. Hope to see it soon.

Before I create a new thread...

This is still an issue for me. Unlike with other audio apps (like Google Music), when another app takes audio focus, and DoggCatcher pauses, the controls don't stay in the notifications pulldown where I can unpause and continue listening. The controls disappear. Given that this has been an issue for a while, I'm wondering if a setting for this has been included that I can't find. I'm running Android 6.0.1 on a Galaxy S5, with the latest version of DoggCatcher. Thanks.
