Notifications and Cupcake

Under 1.5, when a notification is received, the podcast audio stops, the notification audio is played, then the podcast audio resumes.

I'm not sure if this is a cupcake bug, or something that can be fixed in DC, so I thought I'd report it in any case.

under 1.1, when I received a notification when listening to DC, the sounds were multiplexed. i.e, the notification was played overtop of the podcast, hearing both at once. this is the behavior I liked.

Also, I seem to have noticed that with Cupcake, DC is more likely to quit playing when running in the background than it was under the 1.1 firmware...

Which firmware?

Which firmware are you using?

I have the stock 1.5 firmware and the notifications play over top of the playing audio.

Here's a thread with some similar issues - http://snoggdoggler.com/?q=node/289

Can't explain it

I would be surprised if it's related to the adapter but you never know. I'll try to pay closer attention and see if it happens over bluetooth or the speaker, I'm also using an adapter most of the time.

I'm using an android media player component to play the audio. This component doesn't provide any options on how to route the audio...it's basically play, pause, etc.

If I see anything in the dev newgroups I'll let you know.
