Mic button issues

I was listening to a podcast just now through headphones and received a call. The podcast stopped while the phone was "ringing". I tapped the button on the mic and doggcatcher unpaused and the phone did not answer.

I like the pause/unpause feature for this button. But it needs to change while the phone is ringing and pass through so i can answer the phone with that button.
