Alternate playlist sort?

Based upon the other comments here, I know I'm in the minority, but could a pure chronological sort be done of all items in the playlist instead of being grouped by feed?

Good idea

Once I add the ability to select from a list of playlists, this should be an easy add. I created a mantis issue for this.

Time ordered playlist

I originally thought this wasn't going to be a big deal, at the time prior to implementing the playlists. The complication is that the audio playlist has the function of being the source of the auto-play of the next item when an item finished. At the moment, whatever you select in the playlist, does not affect what auto-plays. Adding this is going to mean that you'll need a way to select which playlist is auto-played. I think the current playlist functionality is a bit confusing because it's hard to know what actually happens when you pick another playlist.

I moved the issue into 'soon' because I need to think about adding this when I re-organize the playlist feature.

Thanks for bringing it up again...and being patient :-)

No worries eric. I've got a perfectly serviceable work-around by combining and sorting my feeds via yahoo pipes. Still loving DoggCatcher and use it daily for my commutes.

Move items in playlist

It would be nice to be able to move items within the playlist.
Same way we can re-arrange the feeds in the main view.

I need to sort by newest first

I listen to a number of podcasts that are "news" type podcasts with all old shows archived. I cannot find a way to listen to the new episodes first and older ones later. I certainly don't want to have to download starting at show #1 in a series that has hundreds of shows, in order to get "current."

It would be nice to be able to set a sort order on a feed by feed basis.

Got my newest first

I did the following to straighten out my podcasts
1. Mark all as done
2. Set the delete when done option
3. Set auto downloads and number of items to 10
4. Updated feeds and viola - 10 most recent shows

Newest first

Yup, you might have added that feed before you updated to the latest version. Previous version left all items for a new feed as New, whereas the latest version marks them all done but the most recent.
