DoggCatcher Version: 1.2.2513
Device: Droid X
Android Build: VZW
Carrier: Verizon
SUMMARY: Most Podcasts won't download
I subscribed to a handful of podcasts and queued up several of them. The first couple downloaded fine. The rest of them claim to have tried five times and then quit. The timing is such that I think that they all occurred when the phone was asleep, though I am not 100% sure of that. It is a variety of podcasts--Freakanomics, Escape Pod, Radiolab, etc., so not just one feed.
The error message is
java.io.FileNotFoundException: /mnt/sdcard/DoggCatcher/EpisodeEnclosures/10/EP303_Leech_Run.mp3.PART(Read-only file system)
The file name, of course, differs for each file.
Also, I just did reformat my sd card b/c my pictured were acting up, so I thought there might be a corrupt file on the card. It is, however, possible that the card itself may be messed up. I really have no idea.
Thanks for any and all help you can provide.
Your file system is getting stuck in read-only mode, so DC won't be able to write the media files.
That's happened to me a couple times but not very often. It isn't something that has to do with any of your apps, but it's either a hardware or android problem.
