I have a large number of MP3 Files that are no-where on the internet as a feed. I would like to have them show up as one on my Droid, so that it will keep track of where I have listened etc.
I would be happy if I could manually move the MP3's to the droid, and update/edit a file if necessary.
I used to do this with my zune... I have a local web hosting tool, and I would then create my own feed by creating the XML file for the download. The zune had to be wired to my computer to get an update, and so the tool on my PC could "see" my local web site and then update the feed there and down load it to the zune.
I am not sure how to get my Droid to see my computer to use this, since it is always connected via it's own wifi connection.
Any ideas would help. Thanks!
Jeff
I was looking through another entry and found the answer... It works and is quite easy to do. A virtual feed is the answer.
There are some details about virtual feeds here - http://www.doggcatcher.com/forum/11?sort=asc&order=Created
Yep, sorry for the delay in responding. That's exactly how you would want to do it.
I'm making some improvements to virtual feeds in the next release. It's a little clunky the way it is now.
Thanks for posting the solution.
Is it possible to create a local network feed of recorded TV shows from a HTPC and use Doggcatcher as the interface to transfer them to my Android tablet over WIFI. This would be really useful if it could be done. (apologies if this is more of a RSS question than a Doggcatcher one).
Thanks
All you need is a web server on the htpc where you can place an RSS file that you need to create.
