App permissions: phone state identity

I really like DoggCatcher, but its app permissions bother me. Why does it need access to personal information ("sensitive log data") and phone calls ("phone state and identity"). Is this to stop playing when a phone call comes in? Other? What do you do, if anything, with that information? Thanks.

Permissions

There's an faq article that covers the permissions that DC needs:

Saw the article on the permissions DC needs

I saw this article http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/1354. But this doesn't explain why the "your personal information" permission is needed. There are many other apps that do not require this permission- any ideas ???

The only personal information

The only personal information I think would be "READ_PHONE_STATE" - "USE_CREDENTIALS" or "READ_LOGS" where do you see "your personal information" permission is required ?

READ_LOGS - to send debug logs to developer when user requests
READ_PHONE_STATE - detect when calls are being made so audio can be paused
USE_CREDENTIALS - to authenticate to Google reader to import feeds (you will be required to authorize the use of accounts the first time you try to import from them)

The app actually no longer

The app actually no longer requires USE_CREDENTIALS. I just updated the faq article to reflect that.
