Easier feed reordering UI.

Please provide an easier way to reorder the feed list. For example, (my preference) a long press on the icon and then drag the feed up and down. Or, have a special reordering view similar to Pulse's 'Manage sources' view.

The current reordering UI requires three operations per one feed move. The new one will reduce it to one operation per feed move and will be full WYSIWYG, even during the drag.

Thanks for a great app!

How about a simple sort of feed names

In addition to the more sophisticated feed reorder ideas, how about a simple sort in name order ascending and descending? Eric, I thought that this was on the "todo" list at some time in the past. Maybe it got lost in the months since. A slightly more sophisticated name sort would be to ignore the first word if it is "the" or "a". This could be just 1 of the reorder options. For myself, this would be my preference.

Alpha sort

So the audio playlist plays in the order of the feeds, do you really want your playlist to play alphabetically? It's an easy change to make but I've been holding off because I think it might be confusing for people in that they won't realize that it will change the order that the media files play in.

Alpha sort

Eric,

I may have misunderstood the subject of this thread. I am talking about the first screen that DC come up with when you launch it. The one that is labeled "Feeds". I am suggesting that this screen have the option of being sorted alpha. The feed names are listed in the order that I subscribed to them. I do have some of them moved around. For me, the alpha sort would allow me to quickly find a feed (I have about 30 or so). Personally, I select a feed, click on it, and them play the audio usually in date order. For instance, assuming the sort option was available, to find "Windows Weekly", I know that it is near the end of the list, so I can go to the bottom of the feed screen to find it. Maybe I am confused about the basic use of the feeds screen.

Jim, having the feed list

Jim, having the feed list sorted alphabetically would be the intuitive thing to have when managing the feed list.

However, in DC, this order also determines the overall file playing order in the Audio screen (when AUTOPLAY is ON) and sometimes you may want to have the Tekzilla played before Android Guys.

Sorting

Can we have the sort option? I for one don't use auto play, at all.

Yep, can't argue against it

Yep, can't argue against it for those that don't use auto-play, I'll just need to put in a warning so it's clear that it affects the playlist.

I moved the issue up - http://mantis.snoggdoggler.com/view.php?id=384
