I drive with my Droid in a car dock in landscape mode. I find that the list of feeds can only show two items. A 33% improvement could be made if the filter buttons and the 'feeds' title bar could be turned off at the top of the screen.

seconded. i have the same problem. or move them to the far right as if nothing changed upon rotation other than the button images rotated 90 degrees. no need to keep them on the bottom of screen when landscape.
That could work, I just updated the issue noting this.
Yep, the media buttons currently adjust a little bit in landscape mode, but there's still some room to make things better. I'll see what I can do.

I'd like to drag this up, it doesn't appear to be listed on the forthcoming features, and it'd be a very significant improvement for me. There's just sooooo much space wasted when the bars are stretched out. So many lines of text, like file size / duration, could never hope to reach the end of the screen, so waste tons of space. I'd also like to see maybe feed images alternate sides, which could allow easy clarity of the feeds (assuming a decent image...) without losing functionality, as each feed could basically be double the size. could be useful, but more items in landscape please!!!
I think what I could do is put the buttons in the header *beside* the title of the screen instead of under it, when in landscape mode. I could do the same with the media buttons at the bottom. The item title and seekbar could be beside the media buttons.

+1 for a more efficient space usage of the landscape mode.
This is the main mode I use in my car.
The beta testers currently have the AB thing I mentioned in a previous post. The CD thing didn't work out but the media player area already does already squish to 75% when in landscape mode. I'll experiment with more squishing.
The AB thing *really* make a big difference.
It should hit the market in a week or so.
