It would be great to have a (preferrably global) option for new episodes to be automagically queued instead of having to go to each podcast and download each episode. That way podcasts get downloaded overnight or at work while on the WiFi and you can listen, for example, on your commute (without having to download over 3G/GPRS)
You can already do this. Set the Max Enclosures to Download for each podcast to something higher than 0 and it'll download this many automatically, so long as you have the check for updates function enabled regularly.
I asked this question recently.
So I have to go to each of my 60+ podcasts and set it one by one. AAUUUGGGHHH!!!!!
Either that or wait for a global function. Maybe you can ask eric how long such a thing might take and weigh it up.
I'm curious what podcasts you're into? I'm guessing a wide spectrum, thus why you've arrived at 60+. I'm mainly into tech, politics, current affairs, science and comedy.
Any podcasts you can recommend most?
Just added them...enjoy!
Each time I do a release, I need to reconfigure all the options for my podcasts...and I don't have near 60. The way it is now is obviously not going to work in the long term and having some global settings would seem to do a good job of solving the problem. I'll add this to the future feature list.
At some point, I may do a poll for user input on the sequence of implementing features.
So far, there are 3 of 16 votes with 41+ podcasts so you're not alone on this one.
