Unable to install latest update on Moto Droid

I have downloaded the update and the phone says it is installing but it is hung up. How do I reinstall without having to pay for DC again?

Installing

Once you pay for an app, it will always be in the download section of your market app...even after you uninstall it. So you shouldn't need to pay for an app the second time.

As for being stuck at installing, you could give the phone a reboot to see if that get's you past installing. Keep in mind that if you are going to uninstall the app for any reason, you should do a backup in the dc menu first, so you can restore your feeds.

Still not working

Hi Eric:

I did what you suggested: 1. I tried rebooting; 2. I backed up; 3. I tried reinstalling.

However when I open up the Android Market, the phone still "thinks" it is installing the update and is hung up. I do not know how to get it to stop doing that, so it won't allow me to reinstall. What do you suggest? Thanks for your help.

Deleting market app's cache data

I read in a google group post that clearing the market app's cache data (in the settings app) can resolve some of the problems that people have with the market.

I gave you access to download it at the site here, click on the downloads forums up top. I'm not sure it's going to help because it might just get handed off to the market app.

Sorry I don't have more to offer, I haven't heard of any problems like this lasting so long. When it comes to the market app, there isn't anything devs can do.

No luck

I have tried all the suggestions with no change. What about uninstalling and reinstalling the Market App? Is that possible? Thoughts?

Thanks for your help.
