I am having a hard time with a few of the ign.com feeds. Specifically the "Podcast Beyond!" but a couple others too. DC seems to update ok showing something is there, but it wont download anything.

Is there a DC setting I need to toggle, or do they need to fix their RSS somehow.

Also, the IGN feed descriptions don't really show up. Not a big deal really, but if there is something I could do to fix that it would be great. I imagine that is something on their end though.

Thanks eric.

Download failures

Take a look at this faq article that covers getting the error messages for downloads.

IGN problems here, too

I get "download failure giving up" messages when trying to download Podcast Beyond, Gamescoop, Daily Fix, AND Girlfight! Doggcatcher tells me Connection refused from pheedo.com, but I went months w/o a problem. I've deleted the feed from my list, then readded it with no luck. Help?

Connection refused

If that's the error that you are getting, and other feeds are working fine, then there must be a problem with pheedo.com.

Connection refused con'd

So I've deleted the IGN feeds, then readded them using both the RSS-paste method and the Search built into Doggcatcher. Both resulted in successful addition of the IGN feeds, but the media still fails to download. Open for suggestions.

I have the same issues and I

I have the same issues and I found my solution. I'm running a custom rom that has adblocker in it. If I disable adblocker and restart doggcather it works fine.

Ad blocker

Can your confirm that the error message was 'connection refused'?

I had quite a few people email me about this and in their logs pheedo.com was resolving to 127.0.0.1. I never put it together that it could be caused by an ad blocker, but it make sense now.

Thanks for posting.

yes it was connection refused

yes it was connection refused with pheedo. I realized I had this issue when I was switching roms. When I went back to stock it worked fine. Yesterday I found a post about the adblocker disabling pheedo streams.
