retry failed downloads?

I currently considering switching from listen. Listen is good but has one serious problem, it does not automatically redownload failed or interrupted downloads. does doggcatcher do this?

Retries

I will automatically retry failed downloads when the feed auto-updates.

I did experience a bug that it wouldn't automatically retry partial downloads (ones where a download started but then died), however you can easily get those going again by going to the download queue screen and press the 'add failed' button.

Two replies, two different

Two replies, two different answers.

Really need a definitive answer here. This is a deal breaker for me. Its really the only problem I have with Listen, having to manually re-start partial/failed downloads.

Also once I finish listening to a podcast does Doggcatcher automatically move on to the next unlistened podcast, and automatically add new downloads to the playlist continuously?

Autoplay

It should do what you're looking for except for a potential bug around the case I described. The bug will get fixed though.

You can configure auto-play on or off, when it's enabled and a media file finished playing, then next one will start. Auto-download will download new media.
