Variable Speed Playback

Variable Speed Playback enables playing audio at an increased speed. This is a joint development effort with Aocate and requires the purchase of an Android media library called Presto.

This feature is at an EXPERIMENTAL stage. It may work great, crash, or go away in a future release.

I do encourage you to try it...you might find yourself with some extra free time, or at least the ability to listen to more podcasts. It can be enabled in the DoggCatcher Preferences/Audio.

how to repeatedly play one episode

I did quite a bit of search but couldn't figure this out: how to repeatedly play just one single episode again and again? This is especially important to some language learning podcasts. I would like to listen to a 2-minute episode many times, without hitting the "play" button every time.

Thanks!

dogg catcher won't open.

Hello, I'm a new user of dogg catcher, I just bought it in the market and it won't open when I click on it from my android apps list. I'm running a google nexus one on cyanogen mod7 android 2.3.7. By "won't open", I mean that I click on it and it sends me back to my home screen. Any help would be appreciated.

Broken downloads on networks with web-login

The Wi-Fi network I use at work does authentication via automatic redirection to a webpage where users log in.

If Doggcatcher tries to download a podcast between the time that my phone finds the network and when I open a web browser to give my credentials, the download fails because the application is being redirected to the login page rather than getting to the download location it's looking for.

Update to 1.2.3071 Force Closes and Won't Play Podcasts

Please help. I have been a faithful Doggcatcher user for a year and a half. Ever since the update to 1.2.3071 my Doggcatcher will not play. When I click on a podcast, it will play for about a second then freeze and then show the new start up picture with the dog on it, and then the screen will go to the main menu screen with all of my podcasts. I get the same error on every podcast I try. The error code is "Error 0(1.0)". If anyone has any suggestions please let me know I am back to having to use Google Listen in the meantime.

Problems with just one feed - DC downloads one result, Google Listen shows correctly

The product and interface are great, however, I seem to have issues with just one feed - the Dave Ramsey show. I started using this feed with Listen, and it will download and stream the last ten days' worth of episodes flawlessly. When I import the feed into DC, it only shows one result - the most recent (this displays in the diagnostics).

Update processes disable screen timeout in ICS

As long as Doggcatcher is updating feeds or downloading episodes (essentially, if it's got the icon in the notifications bar), my screen will not timeout on my Galaxy Nexus. I have to disable automatic refreshes/downloads and/or manually lock the screen when refreshing/downloading. This makes my dogg whimper a little bit. :'(

Podcast shows progress of incorrect podcast

When playing a podcast I look at the playlist and the correct podcast is playing, but the playlist shows that the next podcast in the playlist is playing. And it is changing the progress bar for that podcast. This screws up the saved spot where I am in my podcasts.

Doesn't Play Correct Episode

I listen to a San Diego radio morning show podcast: http://feeds.feedburner.com/DSC_JACK. Each day, they publish 4 to 5 one-hour episodes. The names of the episodes are the same each day: "The DSC Hour 1", "The DSC Hour 2", and so on. When I get a couple of days behind listening, there will be multiple episodes of the same name. In order to get the podcast to download at all, I had to select Episode Identifier as Filename and I set the sort order to Date (Newest first) in order to listen to them in chronological order from the bottom of the list.
