Variable Speed Playback

Variable Speed Playback enables playing audio at an increased speed. This is a joint development effort with Aocate and requires the purchase of an Android media library called Presto.

This feature is at an EXPERIMENTAL stage. It may work great, crash, or go away in a future release.

I do encourage you to try it...you might find yourself with some extra free time, or at least the ability to listen to more podcasts. It can be enabled in the DoggCatcher Preferences/Audio.

Oldest podcasts aren't visible on feed?

I've just started listening to the Dirtbag Diaries, http://dirtbagdiaries.com/rss, and want to catch up from the beginning. Unfortunately, DC only seems to find the first 42 or the 81 or so episodes in the RSS feed. I've got the feed settings set to do 90 auto-downloads, and the diagnostics indicate that everything is OK with the feed.

Help?

Many issues on Galaxy Nexus

Several times a day, I'm encountering:

- audio just stops, I go to the app and click on something and it freezes up and it'll FC or I have to kill it
- sometimes after that, audio will start playing, but the UI doesn't indicate it. I click play then get double audio
- sometimes will click on a file and it says can't play file, I click on another file, then it FC's

I never had these problems with Doggcatcher on my Droid X. Are these ICS issues? Should I delete all my media and/or reinstall DC? I'd prefer not to do anything that will cause me to lose all my feeds.

Thanks.

Manually downloaded podcast is being ignored.

I had to manually download a podcast because of a broken link in it's RSS feed.

I copied it into the SD virtual feed directory I use for such events & asked DoggCatcher to update the feed.
It discovered everything in the directory except for the new podcast. It just wasn't present in the list although other mp3 files in the same directory were.

So I used the 'My Files' app to check for it in the directory - yes, it was there.
It would play correctly too using the Android default mp3 player.

Unsuccessful migration to files storage in external SD.

The feeds downloads from DoggCatcher (DC) were stuffing up my internal memory so I thought "Why not store the feeds data in the external SD?"

Surely enough, there is provision, under "Settings"/Miscellaneous/Storage Directory" in DC, to change where the media files are to be kept.

Waiting for 80Mb ...

Presumably I'm missing something obvious ...

1) DC hangs with "Waiting for free space to be more than xxMB"
2) Have storage set to external SD (with vast majority of 32GB available)
3) Assured that while Explorer can't 'see' external SD [/mnt/extern_sd/], programs can readily use/access that storage
4) Lowered storage amount set in DC, but it just reports "Waiting for free space to be more than [lowered amt] MB"
5) What am I missing here?

Trouble with Now Playing

I'm having trouble with two podcasts on the Now Playing pane

the first one is TWIT's Tech News Today that show up this way:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/7501015/screenshotTNT.png

the other one is NoAgenda, in which the image of the description is too big, Doggcatcher should resize the image to fit the screen (zooming out the image, not the text?) instead of keeping it at full size:

thanks in advance

How to delete audio file not yet downloaded

Dear DC support team,

how can I delete audio files I don't want to hear and that I haven't downloaded due to this. The "Delete" function is only available when a certain audio file is at least already donwloaded.

Thanks,

Andreas

error playing episode 2.2 unknown error (1,-2147483648)

This seems to be some kind of file corruption. Transferring the file to my desktop and they fail to play in anything there.

Have read numerous posts about this and have tried reboots to no effect.

Have removed the twitter app to no effect.

Running some form of android OS on a Galaxy Tab, the 7 inch version with 3/4G and other things.

Let me know what you need to know to sort this out.
