Disappearing News Item

Hi
I was out for a walk and browsing my news feeds, then saw an item of interest - hit the web button for more details then realised my mobile data was not switched on. At this point I think I am stuffed - no way to turn on the data and re-open the web link - the news item was auto deleted and I am left wondering how to retrieve it.
Any solution you can think of other than turning off auto-delete (which would make things quite messy (I think).

News item deletion

If you were viewing it from clicking on the news button, then it wasn't deleted, it was just marked as done so it dropped off that list. In this case, you can still find it in the feed itself.

If the feed updated while you were viewing it, then you can get it back by increasing the number of items in the feed to a larger number.
