Doggcatcher stopped showing the age of podcasts

Hi

I have noticed that Doggcatcher on my phone recently stopped showing the age of the specific podcasts in the playlist. (eg: 4 days ago)

I don't know if I by mistake have turned this feature off, or if it disappeared after the latest update.

I am running DoggCatcher version 1.1.1517 on a HTC Desire with Android 2.2

Anybody know how to get this useful feature back?

I can confirm that. Though

I can confirm that. Though pressing on the feed and then exiting back into the list starts showing that again, but only for some feeds.

Interesting

I'm working via email with someone else that was having that problem...I though it was isolated to his rom but it appears not.

Do you know when you got your 2.2 OTA update and if it was around the same time? Also, can you try exiting the app (from the DC menu) and then starting it again to see if the problem remains? I'm trying to narrow down if it was related to a code change in 1517 or maybe a froyo thing.

I have tried to both restart DC and reboot the phone, but none of these fixes the problem.

I got the OTA update around the 1st of August, but I am pretty sure I have not had this issue for that long. So I am more into the theory that this started when I installed 1.1.1517 about a week ago.

If possible I can try to install an older version to see if this fixes the problem...?

That would be a great help. You've got access to the doggcatcher downloads forum, just snag the one previous to 1517 and let me know what happens. Afterwards, you can just install 1517 again. You shouldn't have any problems moving between those two versions but it would be a good idea to do a backup (in the DC menu) prior to installing the older version.

OK, I tried going back to

OK, I tried going back to 1.1.1492 and then 1.1.1390, but problem is still the same. (Both on a fresh database and when restoring my old database) So I guess this shoots the ball back at Froyo...? However I am still pretty sure that I did not have this issue, from the day I got Froyo. I remember doing a hard reset of Froyo about 1-2 weeks ago because I had some WI-FI problems (Not related to DC), maybe the missing podcast age was intoduced then?

Eric, please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help toubleshooting this issue.

I think I found the cause...

When having the language setting on my phone set to Danish, I see this issue, when the language is set to English I do not have this problem. (I have to reboot the phone after changing the language for this behavior to change)

Just to clarify a little bit...Kim and I passed a bunch of log files and custom builds back and forth to try to narrow down this problem.

The problem here is most likely in the rom since we verified that the date parsing logic in DC is solid. It's an unfortunate work-around because we don't want people to have to reconfigure theirs phones in order to use the app.
