only forced download available

When i long press on a feed to download it, i only have the option to force download, not just "download" i had it before on another droid bionic but this is a replacement bionic i just started up.

I just checked preferences and under "Limit feed updates and downloads" everything is unchecked on that page.

I have restarted the phone and excited the program to restart it several times

I have also set the minimum free space available for downloads to 1mb

how do i fix this to allow regular downloads??

Just pressing on the episode

Just pressing on the episode will do a normal (non-forced) download.

In the audio section of the preferences there's an audio player pref - you can set it to integrated streaming to do streaming by default.

You're very welcome.

Streaming vs. download

I also have a few streams that have stopped downloading on the daily regular update. They are updated, but now say 'stream'. I can force the download, but they used to download automatically, now I have to manually do it.

In the audio player preferences, I'm using the 'integrated player'.

Is their a way to have DC download these automatically again? I typically use DC in areas with spotty data coverage.

Check DC's audio settings,(In the DC Menu,Preferences,Audio Player,Audio Player) see if the integrated player is selected, if not change it back from integrated player (streaming)

Can you try flagging them as new? I added some logic a couple releases ago to try remember when you streamed and episode. In your case, it doesn't sound like that's what you want it to do.

Yes, they are flagged as new.

Yes, they are flagged as new. They only update once a week (on Saturday). Like I said, they used to download automatically, now they say 'stream' and I have to force the download (if I remember to do it).

In my audio player preferences it is definitely set to "integrated player", and NOT 'integrated player (stream)

Flagging them as 'new',

Flagging them as 'new', manually from the menu starts it downloading.

Are you saying the feeds

Are you saying the feeds download now or it doesn't?

Auto downloads will only

Auto downloads will only start for episodes that are flagged as new. If they said stream previously then it's possible that you could have tried to stream them before, in which case they would be flagged as in progress. In that case, they wouldn't get auto-downloaded.

If you didn't ever try to stream them, then we might have a bug.
