Option to Lock Orientation

I would like to request a preference option to lock orientation or disabled orientation change. When driving, I have my phone mounted on its side, and it is very hard to scroll through lists and perform other actions when in landscape mode. It would be easier to just read sideways and control the app and swipe through lists left to right. First world problems, I know, but being an Android dev myself I assume this would be an easy feature. And in all seriousness I think it would be a lot safer to control this way while driving.
