I'm looking for alternatives to google listen and found doggcatcher. But i have two questions: is there a demo to test it out first? And when i buy it, does it only last for one year or can i keep using it after the yearly suscribtion have run out?

Android Market allows you to "return" apps within 24 hour period, however, Eric (developer) is pretty flexible and if you need more time after which you decide you don't like the app (unlikely, in my opinion), he'll refund you.
When you buy the app once, you will receive all future updates as long as the app is developed.
Yep, what Karolis said.
Now that the market has gone to a 15 minute trial period (boo!) do you have any plans on making a trial version?
I don't have any plans at the moment. The android market is really not set up to do this in a way that's easy for either devs or users. The ways I've seen it done involved having two separate apps, or one app and one key.
Having two separate apps makes it confusing for people to switch from one to the other. Having a separate key is difficult when you've already got a paid app on the market because of some technical issues with the way the app's uniqueness is handled in the market.
I just figured I'd focus energy on improving the app and supporting the users and that would help people feel comfortable with the shorter eval period.
I can assure you that if it ever becomes an options for devs to specify the trial period, it will be much longer than 15 mins for DC. 15 mins just doesn't make any sense for this app. There are many users that feel the same way because app sales have dropped noticeably since the 15 min change.
I've been pretty happy with Android development in general. There are always going to be some things that you might disagree with but it really has been a great platform to build on. There are tons of great apps out there by great developers. We've got great carrier support and handset makers. There's been an amazing amount of progress in just over two years.
I appreciate the issues, but I still think DC needs a Demo or Trial or Free version.
My suggestion is a 2nd free version with limitations; e.g.,
My $0.02,
John
This is what I was hoping for - http://www.androidguys.com/2011/01/27/google-working-inapp-payments-mark...
It might avoid some of the hackiness that I'd have to do now with a trial. I'll be keeping a close eye on what develops here.
Maybe it's just me, but I find something kinda... dirty about gimped demo versions of apps like this. It'd kinda put me off, in a way.
