I have updated to the latest version since then my player no longer advances to the next item in the playlist after playing a selected podcast. This was a really cool feature is there a way to bring it back? (I think the behavior changed in the build you changed the playlist icon from green to grey)
Are you sure that you have autoplay on? From the main screen click green note icon and you will see your playlist. To enable autoplay, you need to have the two round arrows icons be green, not grey.
I think that's the problem. I also changed the notification displayed when you toggle that button to tell you whether it's on or off. This was a good suggestion made recently by one of the beta testers.
