When listening to podcasts, the audio keeps stopping at random intervals every few minutes. Its been happening a while now and doesn't coincide with anything I can see on the phone.
I've seen similar issues before suggesting android is pulling focus away from DC, but its nothing obvious - I don't see or hear anything, it just stops.
The icon in the widget doesn't change to the triangle to indicate its paused, it stays with the pause icon (indicating it should be playing)
When I press the pause icon in the widget, it starts playing again but with a crackle at the start and is a few seconds behind where it stopped.
I'm not suggesting that it is a bug or a problem with DC , but would like help to isolate the problem, be it DC, android or other rogue app.
Short of deleting every other app on my phone or resetting the phone, any ideas?

Thank You
Playing with the notification settings seems to have fixed it.
I toggled all options and looks like it fixed it.
You're welcome
Which notification settings would those be? Please provide complete, step-by-step instructions, including the starting point (home screen or which Dogg Catcher screen).
And thank you, SuperSpooner, for specifically calling my attention to notification settings. I tried that several days ago, and have only waited to make sure it worked.
Here are instructions for Android version 10, on a Pixel 3a:
Go to System (the gear)/Apps & notifications/
... and I think go to Notifications. Now that notifications from Dogg Catcher are turned off, it's not listed, but I think it was here. Sorry I can't be more precise. I don't know how to turn notifications back on. They weren't doing any good, as far as I could tell. Nothing ever popped up, as a message from Dogg Catcher. All they did was stop podcast episodes. This just strikes me as one more reason the entire computer industry strikes me as proof that wisdom and intelligence are different stats in real life. No amount of either is an adequate substitute for the other.
Thanks, WayneC, I looked at the "Playback Issues" article, but it had nothing useful. I had already restarted my Pixel 3a multiple times. I also had recently updated Android (Phone says I'm currently using version 10). I've even updated all apps. I still get random stops.
I have no noise problem, when pressing Play again. Sometimes, when I unlock my phone to restart Dogg Catcher, the screen has backed out one or two levels, first from the screen with podcast-specific graphics on full-screen, even to the home screen. I've had to click on Dogg Catcher again, to get to the podcast I was playing.
Did you switch to the Android experimental media player? RE: " http://www.doggcatcher.com/AudioPlaybackProblems
Check your device settings Re: http://www.doggcatcher.com/node/6977
Settings>Apps>All Apps>DoggCatcher>App Notifications - Enable DC On > Allow icon Badge >Allow sound
Then check if the "On the lock screen" setting .....you may have to change to "Show all notification content" from "Hide sensitive notification content" or "Don't Show notification at all"
Thanks for the suggestions
